Solid service, minor app issue

I opted for the combined print & digital subscription. The print editions always arrive on time, and the content is consistently high quality. Setting up the digital access was mostly smooth, but the TLS app sometimes crashes on my older tablet, which is a minor annoyance. For the price, especially with the early access to content and exclusive features, it's a good value. Customer service was responsive when I had a login question. Overall, happy with the purchase, just wish the app was a bit more stable across all devices.

Love my new subscription!

I just got my student digital subscription and I'm so excited! The articles are fantastic and I've already found so many interesting things to read. Access to all the archives is incredible, I could spend hours in there! I'm definitely going to tell all my friends about this, it's such a great resource for students. Can't wait for the next issue!

Consistent Quality, Easy Renewal

This was my third year renewing the annual print subscription. Just like before, the process was straightforward on their website. The issues always arrive promptly, usually by Wednesday, which is great. I keep coming back because I know what to expect – good content and reliable delivery. No surprises, which is exactly what I want from a subscription.

Good Value on Digital

I was looking for a digital subscription that wouldn't break the bank and decided to try TLS. I signed up for the annual digital subscription during a seasonal promotion, which gave me a decent percentage off the usual price. It felt like a good deal compared to similar publications. The content is solid, and getting access to the archives was a big plus for the price I paid. Definitely felt worth it for a year.

Easy to subscribe

So, I decided to finally get the combined print & digital subscription after seeing it pop up a few times. The website was super easy to navigate, didn't have any trouble finding what I wanted. It felt pretty chill, like just browsing for something I knew I'd like. The first issue showed up exactly when they said it would, which was cool. No fuss, just a good experience overall.

Thinking of getting a gift subscription for my dad. Do they offer any specific discounts for gift purchases?

T Tom Doyle 1 month ago
They often have gift subscription discounts, especially around holidays. Keep an eye out for those.

Yeah, I got a gift sub for my mum around Christmas, and there was definitely a small discount for it then.

I'm looking at getting either the TLS or the London Review of Books. Any thoughts on which one is better for literary criticism?

G Gwen 1 month ago
They're both great, but TLS is more focused on broader literary and intellectual topics, whereas LRB can get a bit more academic sometimes. Depends what you're after.

TLS covers a wider range of books and subjects. LRB is also good but sometimes feels a bit more niche, even though it's still excellent.

Can I use two different coupon codes if I'm signing up for a print and digital bundle? Like a new subscriber one and a seasonal one?

M Mia 2 months ago
Nah, generally coupon codes aren't stackable. You usually have to pick one or the other.

N Nina 2 months ago
Pretty sure they only let you use one discount at a time. Most places are like that.

How do returns work if I accidentally sign up for the wrong subscription type? Is it a hassle to change?

S Shane 1 month ago
I haven't had to return but I managed my subscription online before and it seemed pretty straightforward. I imagine you'd contact their support to adjust it.

Yeah, I cancelled a print sub easily enough online once. For a wrong type, you'd probably just reach out to them and they'd fix it, seems like they have good customer service.

I'm in New York, if I sign up for the print edition, how long does it typically take to arrive after it's published?

M Marcus W. 1 month ago
Hmm, for the US, I'd expect maybe a week or so after the UK release? International shipping always adds time.

B Ben Carter 1 month ago
Yeah, it's weekly, but delivery to the US might mean it hits your mailbox a few days to a week after it's out in the UK. Depends on customs too sometimes.
